Shipping Policy
Outside the 48 Contiguous States
Please refer to our International Shipping Policy for shipments going outside the contiguous 48 states including, but not limited to, Hawaii, Alaska, Guam, US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands, Military/APO addresses, and all other locations.
Shipping Carriers
UPS is the primary carrier for domestic shipments going to the contiguous 48 states over 1 pound and under 150 pounds. Please review the UPS Ground Transit Time map for approximate transit times using UPS Ground or refer to www.UPS.com.
USPS Parcel Post or 1st Class is used for most domestic shipments under 1 pound in weight due to the cost savings. Please refer to www.USPS.com for time in transit information. Please also note that USPS Parcel Post and 1st Class are NOT insured nor are they traceable. However, these features can be added on for an additional cost.
BAX Global is used as our primary freight carrier for shipments over 150 pounds and up to an unlimited weight and size. All freight shipments are insured and traceable on-line at www.baxglobal.com.
Shipping Times
Toolman Power Tools strives to ship all orders within 48 business hours of payment confirmation. Business hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm Eastern Standard Time. The majority of orders received and paid prior to 3:00pm will ship the following business day. All orders received after 3:00pm will be processed the following business day and then ship the subsequent day.
Toolman Power Tools keeps a large stock of the most popular DeWalt items in our warehouse, however backorder situations do sometimes occur. In the event that an item is backordered from the manufacturer, the customer will be notified of an approximate ship date (if available). The customer can then choose to ship the remainder of the order and/or cancel the backordered item for a complete refund.
Insurance
UPS: For "most" domestic shipments over 1 pound and under 150 pounds going to a street address, UPS ground will be the primary carrier. UPS includes up to $100 of insurance at no additional charge on all shipments. Additional insurance must be purchased by the buyer at the time of order. Toolman Power Tools is not responsible for lost or damaged shipments that are not insured.
USPS: The United States postal Service is used for "most" shipments under 1 pound due to cost savings. These shipments will be sent via Parcel Post or 1st Class mail both of which are NOT insured nor are they TRACEABLE. While we feel that the US Postal Service is very reliable, these additional services can be added for a fee or an alternate shipping service can be used at the customer's request.
The US Postal Service may also be used for shipments going to Alaska, Hawaii, Military addresses or other US territories. Please refer to our International Shipping Policy for more details.
FREIGHT: Bax global is our primary freight carrier. All freight shipments are insured at full value unless otherwise requested by the buyer. Other freight companies may be used if prearranged.
Handling
Handling fees are applied to most shipments to cover the cost of packing materials, storage, returns, labor, etc. and are always stated up front and included with the shipping fees. Toolman Power Tools does not inflate shipping or handling fees to make up for lower product costs. If you feel that a shipping or handling fee is excessive please contact us and we will review it to make sure that the cost is appropriate.
For Freight orders, handling fees can vary based on the size and complexity of the order. Average handling fees range between $50 and $100 per loaded skid.
Additional handling charges may apply for unusually large or odd shaped items or for expedited services.
Shipping to Post Office Box Addresses
Due to using UPS as our primary shipping carrier, Post Office boxes can not be used. If you require shipment to a Post office box, USPS Priority Mail will be used for shipment and an $8 handling fee would apply.
Returns & Exchanges
Exchanges are accepted by Toolman Power Tools for Dead On Arrival items (an item that does not function as specified by the product manufacturer when received) within 15 days of product receipt (US & Canada Only). Toolman Power Tools will issue a return shipment label and cover all return shipping costs.
Returns will be accepted for un-opened, un-used products within 15 days of product receipt. Return shipping is to be paid by the customer and a 6% re-stocking fee will apply (minimum re-stocking fee is $5). Once the returned merchandise is received and inspected, a refund will be issued. Note: The re-stocking fee will be waived if the customer would like to be issued a Toolman credit in lieu of a cash refund.
Warranty issues beyond 15 days should be handled by a DeWalt authorized service center. Please use DeWalt's Service Center Finder to locate the authorized service center nearest you. Please note that DeWalt uses the date code located on the product for warranty service. A warranty card or registration is not required.
3rd Party Billing
If you would like us to ship using your UPS account, please let us know when making the purchase. A handling fee may apply which would be based on order size and complexity. If you would like us to ship using your account with another carrier, please contact us ahead of time to make arrangements.
